Our journey begins in a rustic bar where the gilda—the very first pintxo in history—was created, and you’ll make your own to try. We’ll also talk all things Basque cider and drinks some as we dig into a few classic cider house dishes.
Next, we’ll stroll through the Centro neighborhood and head to the second stop, which prizes the Basque tradition of using high-quality seasonal ingredients. The pintxo and drink pairing we’ll enjoy here has been carefully selected to enhance every bite!
To wrap up, we’ll head to a spot dating back to the 1920s where dozens of celebrities have dined while visiting town for the San Sebastian Film Festival. But despite its glamorous past, locals love it, too—and you’ll feel right at home. We’ll enjoy one last round of shared plates and a beloved Basque dessert to end the evening on a sweet note.
