Great
An enjoyable food tour of three places in the old town of Barcelona. Our guide was informative about Barcelona and its food. The walks from place to place was easy and relaxed. The foods and wine on offering was just right. The tour ended at La Palma - a high note.

What a fun and memorable tour! Highly recommended. We had an awesome time on tour with Emma and our new friends in Barcelona. Emma did an amazing job greeting us and giving us all a warm greeting that helped break the ice and get everyone warmed up and talkative… and the cava and vermut didnt hurt either lol. Emma took us on a beautiful walk through the gothic quarter, stopping at meaningful historic locations and giving us history and context to places we would have otherwise perhaps not even noticed- original Roman aqueduct ruins, cathedral façades, places where medieval knights sharpened their swords, and city wall entrances, all hidden in plain view. And the food and drink were 👌🏽🤌🏽🙌🏽! Loved visiting stops, especially a favorite of Anthony Bourdain. I could not give a stronger recommendation!

Know before you book

Is this tour private?
Yes! Your family will have your guide’s full attention—and flexibility to move at your own pace.
Why choose a private tapas tour in Barcelona?
Because it’s the only way to avoid the tourist traps and taste the best of Barcelona like a local—on your own schedule, at your own pace, with a guide who knows the real stories behind what’s on your plate.
What makes this different from other private tours in Barcelona?
This tour is all about context. You'll eat incredible food, but you'll also walk away understanding the flavors, history, and neighborhoods that make Barcelona such a vibrant, unforgettable place.
How much food is included?
Plenty! With 10+ tapas and drinks, this tour easily replaces a full dinner.
Are tapas free in Barcelona?
No—unlike some cities in Spain, Barcelona’s tapas are ordered and paid for, just like any other dish. But on this tour, we take care of everything. You just sit back and enjoy.
What are the most popular tapas in Barcelona?
Some of the can’t-miss dishes include pan con tomate, jamón ibérico, padrón peppers, and seasonal seafood. But part of the fun of this tour is tasting what’s best right now.
What is the cancellation policy for private food tours?
Private food tours may be cancelled and refunded up to 7 days before the tour date. Thank you for understanding.
Can I customize the route or food stops on a private tour?
Our routes and tastings are thoughtfully planned in advance. Each stop has been chosen for its craft, character, and place in the neighborhood’s daily life. Keeping the route intact allows the experience to unfold smoothly without rushing or waiting. That way you can simply arrive and enjoy a table, seat, or bite waiting just for you. While the route itself stays the same, the rhythm is yours. Your guide adjusts the pace to suit your group.
