Daniel was amazing, his knowledge of the history of Barcelona and Spain was dead on and the group I was with really enjoyed him.

We had a great group of fellow foodies! Alex was very knowledgeable about the historic district and we ate at three different restaurants that offered amazing tapas and good wine. My only comment was that he walks very fast because he covers a lot of ground and history. Not a negative, but don’t expect a leisurely stroll through the old town.

Fantastic tapas & history tour with Ariana in Barcelona! Ariana was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and full of great stories. The tour struck a perfect balance of Barcelona’s history and culture, while the food and drinks were outstanding. Highly recommend!

We booked a group tour with Devour and ended up the only couple that day with Vera. I cannot say how much we enjoyed this tour. A leisurely wander learning about the history or Barcelona and how its food is so tied to its culture. Vera was incredibly knowledgeable and also interested in our own cultures around food and how it compared. We absolutely loved her energy and enthusiasm for Barcelona. The places she took us were outstanding. Steeped in history and tradition, lovely wine to compliment the ham, cheese, raviolli, fried fish, and a surprise savoury/sweet dessert! Just fantastic. Not loads of walking but enough time between stops and no need for lunch. I 100% recommend this. Thank you Vera (and sorry for the delay in posting!) 🙏

Hector did an amazing job on this tour! He has the best personality for bringing a group around, selected some great local gems for us to eat at in Barcelona and gave a fun history lesson on the Gothic quarter, as well tapas and cheese and jamon. We asked him for some local spots to visit and wound up going to a great speakeasy after our tour. Great host for us!

Know before you book

Is this tour private?
Yes! This is a fully private Paris walking food tour, led by your own local guide focused on you and your group.
Why choose a private tapas tour in Barcelona?
Because it’s the only way to avoid the tourist traps and taste the best of Barcelona like a local—on your own schedule, at your own pace, with a guide who knows the real stories behind what’s on your plate.
What makes this different from other private tours in Barcelona?
This tour is all about context. You'll eat incredible food, but you'll also walk away understanding the flavors, history, and neighborhoods that make Barcelona such a vibrant, unforgettable place.
How much food is included?
Iberian ham, cured meats, and olive oil at a traditional ham shop, plus churros and hot chocolate at Madrid's most famous chocolatería. Parents get drinks at both stops. Between the bocadillo-making and the churros, most kids are well fed by the end.
Are tapas free in Barcelona?
No—unlike some cities in Spain, Barcelona’s tapas are ordered and paid for, just like any other dish. But on this tour, we take care of everything. You just sit back and enjoy.
What are the most popular tapas in Barcelona?
Some of the can’t-miss dishes include pan con tomate, jamón ibérico, padrón peppers, and seasonal seafood. But part of the fun of this tour is tasting what’s best right now.
What is the cancellation policy for private food tours?
Private food tours may be cancelled and refunded up to 7 days before the tour date. Thank you for understanding.
Can I customize the route or food stops on a private tour?
Our routes and tastings are thoughtfully planned in advance. Each stop has been chosen for its craft, character, and place in the neighborhood’s daily life. Keeping the route intact allows the experience to unfold smoothly without rushing or waiting. That way you can simply arrive and enjoy a table, seat, or bite waiting just for you. While the route itself stays the same, the rhythm is yours. Your guide adjusts the pace to suit your group.
