Excellent
This was such a lovely way to walk the city getting to know the food, the culture and the history of Madrid. Liliana was such a woodwork guide-she was very knowledgeable and personable. She made great recommendations for future things for us to visit and try as well. The food was delicious and it was so fun to chat and visit with the other group members. I don’t eat fish/seafood and Lilliana was so kind to make accommodations for me and have another option at all stops that focused on fish/seafood. I really appreciated that.

One suggestion—it would be nice if the tour guide was able to sit and eat with us. There’s something very social and more conversational for the guides to be able to partake with us as they tell us about what we are eating. That’s one thing to would have made the tour a little more elevated.

Great tour! Definitely recommend!

5 of 5. Lilliana sprinkled in history of Spain, history of the foods, architecture and explained modern day life in Madrid. Well-worth the money. It’s more than the food and drink. It’s an experience.

Liliana was awesome! I wish we had done this trip our first day instead of last. We had a great time and learned so much about tapas in general and the history of Madrid. Food was awesome!

Know before you book

Is this a private tour?
Yes — this is a fully private tour your own guide and maximum 8 of your friends and family. The best of Barcelona’s food culture isn’t always easy to find. With a private guide, you get the flavors, the stories, and the places that locals love.
How much food is included?
15+ tastings at 8 spots—more than enough for a full meal. Come hungry! Water will be served at some spots, but we recommend bringing a water bottle if you get thirsty.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
We can accommodate vegetarians and guests who prefer non-caffeinated drinks. Unfortunately, due to the nature of French pastries, this tour is not ideal for gluten- or dairy-free diets.
Why choose a private tapas tour in Madrid?
Because Madrid's best food experiences aren't found by chance. With a private guide, you’ll discover the real flavors and places most visitors miss.
What makes this different from other Madrid tapas tours?
This tour goes beyond just eating—it’s about discovering Madrid’s food culture, history, and traditions, all led by someone who knows the city inside and out.
What is the cancellation policy for private food tours?
Private food tours may be cancelled and refunded up to 7 days before the tour date. Thank you for understanding.
Can I customize the route or food stops on a private tour?
Our routes and tastings are thoughtfully planned in advance. Each stop has been chosen for its craft, character, and place in the neighborhood’s daily life. Keeping the route intact allows the experience to unfold smoothly without rushing or waiting. That way you can simply arrive and enjoy a table, seat, or bite waiting just for you. While the route itself stays the same, the rhythm is yours. Your guide adjusts the pace to suit your group.
