Excellent
This was an excellent food tour through Montmarte. I never would have found these places on my own and hearing the history of the establishments and the city made everything that much more memorable! The pastries were all fantastic and it was great to try a variety of Parisian specialties. Our tour guide was excellent with giving us information, history, and answering questions.

We had the most wonderful time on our Paris pastry tasting tour with Emily, and I cannot recommend her highly enough!
From the very first stop, it was clear that Emily is passionate about what she does. Her knowledge of Parisian pastry culture — the history, the techniques, the little insider details — made every bite so much more meaningful. She had a genuine enthusiasm that was completely contagious, and her warm, personable nature made our group feel instantly at ease.
And the pastries? Absolutely incredible. Every single thing we tasted was a revelation. Emily clearly has an exceptional eye for quality and knows exactly where to find the best of the best in this city.
The hours flew by — truly one of those experiences where you look up and can’t believe how much time has passed. If you’re visiting Paris and love food, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Emily. It was one of the highlights of our entire trip!

Know Before You Book Our Paris Pastry Tour

Is this a walking tour of Paris?
Yes! This is a pastry lover's Paris chocolate walking tour through some of Paris’s most beautiful neighborhoods, including historic covered arcades. We cover about 1.5 km (just under 1 mile). We recommend comfortable walking shoes.
What kinds of pastries will we try on this tour?
You’ll taste a curated mix of iconic French sweets—including pain au chocolat, macarons, seasonal homemade cakes, bean-to-bar chocolate, salted caramel crêpes, and more. We visit both historic institutions and cutting-edge chocolatiers to give you the full Paris pastry experience.
Is this just… a lot of sugar?
We get this a lot! Yes, this is a dessert-forward tour—but it's carefully balanced, with breaks between tastings, sips of and cider, and stories that give your palate (and your camera) time to rest. Most guests say it’s just the right amount of indulgence.
How many tastings are included?
At least 6 sweet stops, with multiple bites at most—including pastries, chocolates, drinks, and more. Many guests tell us it’s more than enough for breakfast and dessert.
What are the most popular pastries in Paris? Will we try them?
We focus on Paris’s most iconic sweets—croissants, macarons, and artisan chocolates—as well as lesser-known specialties you might miss on your own. The tour was even curated with input from a local pastry chef.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
We can accommodate vegetarians and guests who prefer non-caffeinated drinks. Unfortunately, due to the nature of French pastries, this tour is not ideal for gluten- or dairy-free diets.
Will we be going inside the shops?
Yes! Every stop goes inside—no peeking through windows. We believe tasting is just part of the experience; meeting the people behind the food is what makes it unforgettable.
How big is the group?
We cap our Paris pastry tour at around 10 guests, so it stays intimate, interactive, and easy to navigate—even in the coziest shops.
Is this pastry tour kid-friendly?
Definitely! Families love our Paris pastry tour. While younger kids might not catch every historical detail, the sweets usually win them over pretty quickly.
Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, this tour route is not fully wheelchair accessible. However, an alternate route can be arranged to accommodate guests in wheelchairs. Please contact our Guest Experience Team to discuss arranging a private tour that meets your accessibility needs.
