When the title of this tour uses the word "historical" to refer to the pubs, they can only be guilty of understatement. Each of the four pubs on our itinerary has hundreds of years of history. George was our guide, and he was both entertaining and informative about the pubs, the beers, the food, and the neighborhoods through which we passed. The pace was relaxed, as appropriate for pub visits. Over the course of the roughly four hour tour we walked just under a mile, much of it along Fleet Street. Our time included the introduction of a game in the final pub we visited. We were served two ales, a porter, and a cider, and enjoyed pubs snacks, including fish and chips, along with each. The small group size (capped at 12, with 11 in our group) encourages conversation among the participants. A great way to experience London pub culture.
