Overview

What's Included

  • Enjoy 8 dishes and 5 drinks across 4 handpicked bars and restaurants in Bairro Alto and Príncipe Real — enough for a full dinner with thoughtful pairings at every stop.

  • Settle in at every stop, with seating throughout and a pace designed for comfort, conversation, and actually tasting what's in front of you.

  • Taste Portuguese cuisine in evolution — from mountain cheeses and crispy petiscos to Atlantic oysters and a refined plate at a Michelin-recommended restaurant.

  • Sip your way through Portugal's wine regions without leaving the city. Each pour is chosen to complement the course, from coastal whites to bold reds you won't find back home.

  • Be guided by an expert Devour host who knows the chefs by name, connects each dish to the traditions behind it, and makes sure you never feel like you're on a tour.

Know before you book

What makes this different from other food tours in Lisbon?
This isn’t just about eating—it’s about understanding. Your guide brings Lisbon’s history, neighborhoods, and food culture together into one seamless experience. And because it's private, you shape the conversations with your guide around what matters most to you.
Is this a private tour?
This is a private tour with a dedicated guide and a maximum of 8 of your friends and family. That means real seating at every stop, time for actual conversation, and the kind of access you don't get in a bigger group.
How much food and drink is included?
Plenty! You’ll enjoy 10+ traditional tapas and 5 drinks (including vermouth, cava, and regional wines) across three family-run stops. It’s a full dinner, Barcelona-style. Come hungry.
Where does the tour take place?
In Gros, San Sebastian’s hip, locals-loved neighborhood known for its rising stars in the food scene. It’s where innovation lives and real culinary magic is happening.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes — just let us know when you book. Vegetarian, gluten-free (not celiac), dairy-free, and pescatarian options can usually be accommodated. The tour is not recommended for vegans or those with celiac disease.
What's included in the price?
A private 2.5-hour tour with an expert family guide, all food and drink tastings (churros, hot chocolate, tapas, coffee, and drinks for parents), entry to the Metropol Parasol, and all activities.
Is this a walking tour?
Yes, but it’s a gentle stroll with plenty of breaks. Along the way, you’ll explore Madrid’s historic center, including the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, and hidden streets in the Habsburg Quarter.
Can I customize the route or food stops on a private tour?
Our routes and tastings are thoughtfully planned in advance. Each stop has been chosen for its craft, character, and place in the neighborhood’s daily life. Keeping the route intact allows the experience to unfold smoothly without rushing or waiting. That way you can simply arrive and enjoy a table, seat, or bite waiting just for you. While the route itself stays the same, the rhythm is yours. Your guide adjusts the pace to suit your group.
What time does the tour start and end?
The tour begins at 5:30 PM and runs approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. You'll finish in time to enjoy the rest of your evening in one of Lisbon's liveliest neighborhoods.
