This tour is just the right mix of historical and cultural information and experiencing local food eateries and regional food specialties. It’s a great length for really getting a feel for the city and its culture. James was a great tour guide and was extremely knowledgeable of the area and its history. This is the second time I have been on this tour in nine years and it was just as good as the first time!

Know Before You Book

What neighborhoods does the tour visit?
This tour explores El Born and Barceloneta—two of Barcelona’s most historic and atmospheric areas. Expect cobblestone streets, local markets, and seaside charm.
Is this tour suitable for kids?
Yes! Families are welcome, and the tour includes tastes and stories kids often love. Please let us know in advance about any dietary needs or preferences.
What makes this different from other food tours in Barcelona?
We don’t just feed you—we connect you. With over a decade of experience and deep local ties, we take you into real neighborhood bars, market stalls, and family-run spots tourists rarely find. It’s culture through food, done right.
Is it enough food for a meal?
More than enough—it covers both breakfast and lunch for the morning tour and dinner for the evening tour, with 12+ tastings. Come hungry!
What if I have dietary restrictions?
We do our best to accommodate most needs with advance notice. Let us know when booking so we can plan ahead.
How much walking is involved?
The route covers approximately 1.5 km (1 mile) through the Gothic Quarter at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to rest and eat between stops.
Is alcohol included?
Yes! You’ll enjoy vermouth and wine along the way. Non-alcoholic alternatives are always available—just ask your guide.
Do you visit La Boqueria Market?
Nope. We take you to the Barceloneta Market, where real locals shop—and where we’ve built relationships with the vendors over years.
Will I be in a large group?
Never. This tour is capped at a maximum 12 guests, keeping it personal, flexible, and full of connection.
