When Anna Bellsol\u00e0 decided to open a traditional, wood-burning oven bakery<\/a> back in 2007, people told her she was crazy. The traditions of bread making have slowly industrialized in Barcelona, therefore, it’s rare to find places like Baluard. Their motto states that no two loaves are ever the same. Once you try their almond croissant you’ll also fall in love with its incredible cakes and bakes!<\/p>\n

Each day at Pastisseria Principae (Carrer Guilleries, 10)<\/em> Mostafa and his team make over 3,000 Syrian pieces of different baklava<\/em>. Mostafa actually came to Barcelona on holiday 30 years ago and never made it back to Syria. Over the years, surprisingly, he has become one of the most important pastry chefs in the city.<\/p>\n

Hofmann Pastisseria<\/a>, located in the Born<\/a>, is not only one of Barcelona’s best pastry shops, but also its very own school and institution. Many have begun to close down one by one due to expensive rents and difficult access to street vendor permits. El Trebol<\/em><\/a> is possibly another one of the oldest surviving and best pastry shops in Barcelona.<\/p>\n
