Take a Quick Trip to Puerta del Sol<\/h2>\n\n\n

Sol is Madrid\u2019s most famous square and it’s just a quick ride from the airport<\/a> on the C<\/em><\/span>ercan\u00edas<\/span><\/i> train. With such easy access from the airport, there’s no excuse not to visit Sol during your layover in Madrid.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n

Step out of the station and into the heart of downtown Madrid. Snap a photo in front of Madrid\u2019s most iconic statue, the bear and strawberry tree, or join crowds of people watching street performers in action around the square.<\/p>\n\n\n
