But now, craft beer is the trendiest drink in Paris, and there are some great bars where you can enjoy a huge range of beers both on tap and from the bottle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even better, French brewers are getting into the act. Paris-based breweries like BAPBAP<\/a>, \u00a0Paname<\/a>, Grand Paris<\/a> and Outland<\/a> are producing craft beers to compete with the omnipresent Kronenbourg<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Just to the west of Paris, Yvelines has a cluster of brewers including L’Instant<\/a>, Volcelest<\/a>, and O’Clock Brewing<\/a>, the last of which makes an IPA which trumps most American versions with its hop-forward, citrusy taste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You’ll see a different side of Paris if you’re a craft beer lover. You won’t be heading for the five star hotels\u2014they still see beer as beneath them. You won’t find it in the Louvre or on the \u00cele de la Cit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Instead, you’ll be heading for the suburbs and for trendy, up-and-coming areas like Belleville<\/a>. You’ll end up using M\u00e9tro stations most visitors don’t even know exist!<\/p>\n\n\n
