Gracia: The Little Village Hidden Inside Barcelona

Jessica of Barcelona Blonde is a local that happens to live in one of the city’s most charming neighborhoods: Gracia. This neighborhood was actually once a village on the outskirts of Barcelona. It still maintains a special, small-town vibe that feels like a breath of fresh air from the big city just a few minutes down the hill. Unique festivals, traditions and a close, tight-knit community are what make Gracia such a cool place.

We love Gracia so much that we even run our Neighborhood Market & Food Tour there! Come and join us to discover it through a local’s eyes.

La Cuina d’en Garriga

The wonderful travel blog Travel & Lust boasts a pretty impressive collection of blogs about Barcelona. One of them highlighting the nostalgic La Cuina d’en Garriga. It’s a gourmet grocery store, wine cellar, and restaurant in Barcelona’s classic Eixample district. The history of this place, dating back to 1876 and involving the invention of the siphon, is enough to spark curiosity. Not to mention the top-notch products and delicious dishes that come out of their traditional Catalan kitchen.

Not sure what Catalan food is all about? Check out our video with the lovely Raquel as she explains some of our favorite classical dishes here in Barcelona.
