An outdoor cinema at the foot of a castle\u2014does it get any better than that? Apparently it does, because not only does Montjuic\u2019s outdoor summer cinema<\/a> offer a great selection of flicks, but they are also accompanied by small live music performances beforehand. You can even rent some seriously comfortable lounge chairs, in case you forgot your blanket.<\/p>\n\n\n\nBasic entrance is \u20ac6, though there are other combinations that include live music or a visit to the castle. Another great new introduction to the program is their Eco-Picnics to make your visit even more stress free! From veggie burgers, hummus dips and samosas\u2014you won\u2019t go hungry here. Order online while booking your tickets and your picnic will be ready to collect once you get there! How’s that for service? The cinema takes place Wednesdays and Fridays until the first week of August. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go for a swim, have a snack and get to the Sant Sebasti\u00e0 beach in Barceloneta before sundown to catch one of the summer flicks on Thursday and Sunday nights. It\u2019s a favorite spot for locals to see a movie outside in Barcelona, and one of the most scenic of the outdoor cinemas in Barcelona! Space is limited so make sure you get there early if you want a good spot! The cinema runs until the second week of August. Every Thursday in July and the first in August from 9 pm indulge your senses in a cultural treat. The night kicks off in its Plaza de la Ciencia<\/em> with a concert including some great local jazz bands. The 2017 season is inspired by the newest exhibition being hosted by the museum, Talking Brains, with all of the agenda based around how we communicate as humans. Think sci-fi and Steven Spielberg and you\u2019re close. Each year, Gandules follows a different theme, the 2017 theme being one of our absolute favorites. A whole summer devoted to the wild and dangerous women in the world of cinema. And better yet\u2014it\u2019s free! This is definitely the place to come for a more alternative selection of films in the patio of one of Barcelona\u2019s most active cultural centers. You\u2019ll be guaranteed a terrific night. Call your best girlfriends and get ready to celebrate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
