Summer has officially arrived, and in our book, there’s no better place to be than the Catalan capital.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Barcelona may as well be synonymous with good times and good vibes. And with plenty of Spanish sun and a prime location right on the Mediterranean, the city is at its best as summer arrives. Whether your agenda includes attending one of the world’s most iconic festivals or simply spending as much time at the beach as possible, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy Barcelona in June. • Pleasant averages of 67 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius)<\/li>
• Lots of sunshine (June 21 is the longest day of the year in terms of daylight hours!)<\/li>
• Very little rainfall, with an average of just two rainy days all month, with most precipitation coming in the form of a light drizzle or quick thunderstorm.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

  1. Welcome summer with Sant Joan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  Don’t expect to get much sleep on the night of June 23. As part of the ongoing summer solstice celebrations, revelers throughout the city will take to the streets that evening for a night full of fireworks, bonfires, and partying until dawn. Known as la nit de Sant Joan<\/em>, or St. John’s Eve<\/a>, the event takes its name from the fact that it’s celebrated the night before the feast day of St. John the Baptist, and it’s one of the biggest events taking place in Barcelona in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  Our advice: don’t even try to sleep\u2014instead, head out and join the festivities on the beach. Get there right as the sun is going down and you’ll be ready for a summer evening full of fire and magic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. Enjoy a summer evening on a rooftop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  We’ll let you in on a little secret: you don’t have to be a guest at many of the hotels in Barcelona that offer public access to their impressive rooftops. After spending a day sightseeing (or, if we’re being honest, hanging out at the beach), there’s nothing quite like taking in the views from one of the best rooftops in Barcelona<\/a>, drink in hand, surrounded by good friends. While drink prices at these spots tend to be on the steep side, it’s worth it for the luxurious experience and unforgettable atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
