With so many incredible restaurants on every corner it’s hard to know where to eat in Gracia. This charming village-like neighborhood just north of the Eixample is a unique, off-the-beaten-path absolute-must for foodies.

"Anyone

From traditional, family-run bodegas to hip new cafes serving up flat whites and nitro coffees, it really does have it all. We love this neighborhood and its fantastic array of great eats and beautiful streets. Read on for our restaurant guide on where to eat in Gracia. Welcome to one of our favourite neighbourhoods in Barcelona.

La Pubilla

Tucked away behind one of Gracia’s main markets you will find La Pubilla. A bright and cozy restaurant that’s well-known throughout Barcelona for serving up the best menu del dia, or fixed price lunch menu, in the city. Beautifully creative presentation, top-notch quality and generous portions make this place a must for a chic Barcelona lunch. Don’t forget the reservation!

Con Gracia

Con Gracia is one of the most innovative and exciting restaurants to eat in Gracia. If you’re hankering for something a little special then this is definitely the place for you. Feeling adventurous? The Experience Menu is a must-try. Relinquish yourself to the chef’s choices and be surprised by each and every course. Perfect!

Gasterea

The tree-lined Verdi Street is undoubtedly one of Gracia’s loveliest. Crammed with dozens of independent designer shops, cute cafes, restaurants, bars and even a small movie theatre. It’s hard to not eat well around here. But for a casual bar with great pintxos (Basque-style self-service tapas), head to Gasterea. Try as many of their outstanding pintxos as you please and wash it all down with a swig of fizzy txakoli wine. Definitely one to try if you’re not sure where to eat in Gracia!

Roig Robí

Fine dining with Catalan Flair! From the moment you enter you feel special! Which of course is no accident, the female owner and head chef Mercè Navarro and her son & daughter have been running this place beautifully since 1986. From perfectly pressed linen table clothes to a jungle-inspired pretty terrace, it’s hard to find something not to love. Their wine selection is incredible, as is the delicious food. The best part? The tasting menu of course—after all it would be a shame not to taste some of those stunning wines! This is definitely one place to check out if you’re in Gracia for a special occasion.

Casa Pages

If you’re looking for grandma’s home cooking, look no further than Casa Pages. Run by an elderly Galician couple, this is the lower end of Gracia’s neighborhood hangout. Cozy with rustic, delicious tapas as well as a great value set lunch menu, this is a classic restaurant of the area. Down the street, find the owners’ son’s restaurant, Cafe Pages, a modern take on his parents’ profession – whether you are after rustic or modern, there will be a choice to satisfy you!

Ca’l Pep

There is nothing we love quite as much as la hora del vermut, the sacred aperitif hour that comes before lunch in Barcelona. But if you’re going to partake in this lovely tradition, you may as well do it right, with an old school bodega filled with locals hanging out as if it were their own living room.

Head to Ca’l Pep to hang with them and enjoy a sweet vermouth or glass of cava, and don’t forget the snacks. They’re simple, but what more do you need? Manchego cheese, cured Spanish meats and a drink in hand, it’s the perfect way to ease yourself into a long Spanish lunch. Not sure what exactly vermouth is? Take a look at the video below and let our expert guide Victoria tell you how to best enjoy it—like a local.
