This was a great tour for our first night in Madrid. The taverns were all local and gave an authentic feel for central Madrid. Our host Dani was excellent. He seems to know all the proprietors and tavern workers. The drinks and food were varied and very good. We also met a number of very social and friendly tour mates. We certainly recommend this tour.

I highly recommend this tour! Our guide, Arantxa, was absolutely fantastic—bubbly, personable, and full of energy. She brought the city to life with her captivating stories, blending fascinating history with local culture. How much food and drink is included?
Plenty! You’ll enjoy 10+ traditional tapas and 5 drinks (including vermouth, cava, and regional wines) across three family-run stops. It’s a full dinner, Barcelona-style. Come hungry.
What kind of tapas will I try?
The lineup varies with the seasons and availability, but expect a mix of Catalan and Spanish staples—things like *butifarra* sausage, crema catalana, fried fish, croquettes, and more. Every dish is carefully chosen to reflect local traditions and flavors.
What drinks are included?
Each stop includes a traditional drink—like vermouth on tap, crisp ciders, and quality Spanish wines. If you don’t drink alcohol, no worries—there are non-alcoholic options available at every stop.
Is this a walking tour?
Yes, but it’s a gentle stroll with plenty of breaks. Along the way, you’ll explore Madrid’s historic center, including the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, and hidden streets in the Habsburg Quarter.
