Madrid Prado Museum Tour & VIP Botin Lunch

Arantxa was excellent. Great tour. Perfect size with just 6 people and a very cute baby!

Cassie was our tour guide and did a superb job at the Del Prado Museum. She explained everything in detail in the artwork and painters and how they all related. This was something no other guide has done before. We were very impressed with her knowledge about everything. We the had a fantastic lunch and tour of Botin resturant. The suckling pig, sangria, and cheesecake were out of this world. The small group tour (8) people, made it all the more enjoyable. We were able to converse with everyone.

This was a small group tour of 8 which was perfect.<br />Our guide Cassie was wonderful and a big reason for our 5 start rating. <br />She wisely limited structured our limited time around 20 paintings. Yes, just 20!<br />However with Cassie’s knowledge, humor and down to earth explanations we felt like we had experienced more than seeing 200 works of art. <br />The focus was on the Spanish kings and their lives told through the paintings of their Spanish court artists. <br />By the end we felt as if we’d spent time with a friend looking through their family photo albums while hearing family tales. <br />The visit to Botin, the world’s oldest restaurant was equally memorable. It began with a private tour of the venue including a visit to the wine cellar which is in a cave under the building. Again Cassie’s knowledge and humor helped bring the restaurant’s history to life. <br />The meal was delicious as was the accompanying wines and sangria. <br />A truly great tour.<br />The meal was delicious as were the wines and sangria.

Cassie is an amazing and very charismatic tour guide. We loved learning about the history of the paintings in Prado museum and enjoying the delicious suckling pig and basque cheesecake in Botin while learning the history about it
