Turron makes the perfect gift or edible souvenir in Barcelona to take home with you!

Why? One of the things we love the most about classic Spanish bakeries and pastry shops is the fact that they work on a seasonal basis. At Christmas time, they stock their glass displays with turrón, a delicious nougat bar or cake with almonds or other nuts. This is undoubtedly the go-to sweet of Christmas time here, and you can bet Pastisseria Ideal, a pastry shop run by the same family since 1919, knows what’s good in traditional Spanish turrón.
